Our Services

So here's a breakdown of whose in the office and their roles:

 

 Che Wilson                                         Executive Manager

After 17 years of living away, I returned home to Ohakune in August 2010 and started with the Trust in April 2011.  My role is to manage the establishment of the Natural Resources unit within the Trust and to manage Trust activities.

Goldie Akapita                                   Funding Officer

Goldie is the daughter of Harvey and Celia Akapita and was raised in Auckland.  She returned home to Ohakune in 2009.  Goldie’s role was initially funded for two years through a grant received from Maungarongo Marae that was gifted to the Ngati Rangi Trust to help the greater iwi.  Goldie’s role is evolving into project management, Whanau Ora and to progress social services throughout the rohe.

Chaana Morgan                                 Kaikokiri Kaupapa

Chaana (pronounced Shar-nah) is the mokopuna of Jack and Sylvia Condon and was raised in Raetihi, she returned home to Raetihi after spending time in Wellington, Hamilton and abroad.  Chaana’s role includes project management, communications and acts and the secretariat for the Trust and runanga.

Peter Porter                                       Kaitoko Whanau (Part-time)

Pete originates from the Taitokerau and lives in Horopito.  He is on the Board of Trustees at Ruapehu College and his wife owns a business in Ohakune.  Pete’s role is connected to the governments’ Whanau Ora initiative and works as a community officer helping whanau engage with services.

Shayna Blake                                     Kaihapai Tari (Part-time)

Shayna is the daughter of Rose Marie Blake and was raised by her uncle, Te Moananui-a-Kiwa (Temo) Ponga in Whanganui and at Tieke.  She lives on her partners whanau land at Karioi.  Shayna’s role covers administration, inputting financials and keeping the office working.
